Because there is no stage or extensive backdrops, the tricks feel real and believable.
Anyone can learn to do simple and realistic street magic tricks and enjoy the looks on their audience's faces. It will take practice and patience to master new tricks and make them look believable, but it's worth the trouble. Here are a few street magic tricks to get an amateur magician started in amazing their family and friends.
Turn Water to Ice
To prepare for this illusion, place a sponge securely at the bottom of a cup and set several ice cubes on top of it. Allow spectators to watch as about an inch of water is poured into the cup. The sponge will soak up the liquid. The magician blows on the cup, turns it upside down, and out fall the ice cubes! It will appear that the magician turned the water into ice with just a breath of air!
Make a Coin Disappear
Place a coin on the table and get the spectator's attention. Cover the coin with three fingers and slide it toward oneself, slipping it into one's lap. Pretend to pick up the coin. Act surprised that the coin isn't there when the hand is opened and the coin has magically disappeared!
Bend a Spoon
Grasp a spoon with both hands so that the scoop is pressed against the table and the handle is hidden within the hands. One will appear to bend the spoon in half as the hidden handle slides within the clasped hands until it's at the base of the hands near the table. After the trick is finished, reveal the spoon to the audience to show them it is not bent after all!
