Magic Tricks Revealed

Magic tricks has been around for as long as we can remember. Remember the big names like David Copperfield and David Blaine who brought magic to another new dimension. Seeing is believing. David Copperfield brought stage magic to new heights while Blaine ruled the streets with his new concept of street magic, performing up close in from of audiences grabbed from the streets.

I presume you are also interested in magic tricks to be reading this article. To the newbie, you might be wondering where should you start. Traditionally, the good place to find tricks would be the library to pick up a book lined with dozens of free tricks. Nowadays, you might be using the internet but there is also a problem. The problem is you do not know which site is the one you really need. You will find one soon enough.

The most common tools of magic tricks would be coins and cards. Coins are everywhere in your daily lives and a deck of cards are readily available off the shelves of convenient stores. For both of these tricks, sleight of hand is important. To the layman, it simply means card and coin manipulation methods to make things appear as what you want the audience to think it is.

The official brand for poker card magic is Bicycle. Bicycle brand decks and cards are what magicians use to perform as it is specially crafted for its purpose and they also produce special gimmick cards in the same brand. As for coin props, the official currency is the US coin. Magic shops sell some gimmicked US coins.

Next, let me share with you some tips to pick up magic fast for the beginner. Firstly, choose a trick that you find it impressive and want to perform. Second, do not rush to impress when you are not fully prepared and will give the trick away. Thirdly, get the required props of the required quality. Like I mentioned, not all poker cards are the same, Bicycle poker cards have special air cushioned finish that makes them extra smooth and good to use for magic tricks. Do not use lousy quality cards and expect to do a good trick. Last but not least is practice. Practice and practice until you are 100% familiar with the trick. Also, please practice in front of the mirror to see what your audience sees.
